Cold Feet
When the body’s extremities become cold, take heart. As the heart pumps blood through the body providing warmth and overall functionality, normal circulation keeps hands and feet warm. Improper circulation or heart function can cause extremities to remain cold. If your feet and hands are chronically cold, see your doctor.
While hands and feet may become cold during cooler temperatures, chronically cold hands and feet could be exposing more serious implications such as auto-immune infirmity. Examples include Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis or progressive systemic sclerosis or mixed connective tissue disease. All are linked to Raynaud’s syndrome.
