Unattractive Nails
Naked fingernails are great little television screens into how our body is functioning. Spoon-shaped or concave nails suggest an iron-deficiency or koilonychias. A Beau’s line on the nail bed is a horizontal line indicating a history of illness or poor nutrition. Any unusual nail markings are parts of the body’s language.
Fingernail abnormalities are indicators that expose certain issues surrounding kidney and liver function, deficient vitamin or mineral levels and even cardiac complications. Healthy fingernail plate should be a medium pink color. Nails growing from the nail bed or nail plate should be white.
