Stubborn Cough
Possessing a persistent cough doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ve lung cancer. But if you’ve one that doesn’t seem to need to go away and leave you with a voice that’s hoarse and raspy, talk to your physician if it doesn’t go away even after you’ve had it consistently for 2 weeks or longer. Do not make the assumption that the main reason is a cold or allergies. It is a lot better to ensure that these are the reasons behind a stubborn cough. Even though a cough associated with cancer of the lung can be assumed to be more of a dry cough that’s not necessarily the case. The cough of someone with cancer of the lung usually happens to worsen during the night and may not even be evident throughout the daytime. This often leads to sleep difficulties and general fatigue.
Consequently, it’s crucial to not dismiss your symptoms, as doing so will only delay cancer detection.
