Symptoms Of Serious Health Conditions You Should Stop Ignoring

Cold Sores

Cold sores are not necessarily an immediate threat to the body; but the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) could be. This virus touches approximately 8 out of 10 people through skin or saliva contact generally before the age of 10.

The virus often remains dormant in the nerves of the face, but can quietly spread to eyes and other parts of the body. The most familiar symptoms of cold sores begin as a blister, eventually scabbing over and lasting for days to a week or two.

This virus can also affect the skin on fingers and genitals, often exacerbated by stress, sun exposure or other illnesses.
