Managing Finances Suddenly Becomes More Difficult
If you struggle to complete daily mental tasks more than you usually do, if you have experienced more mental challenges, especially for a period of time, be kind to yourself and talk to your doctor. Struggling with finances, paying bills, counting and other mathematical and organizing pursuits may be just a senior moment. But, there may be more to it than that.
Brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s, dementia and other cognitive conditions want to sabotage ordinary brain function. Daily tasks, mathematical or not, become confusing or challenging. Aging doesn’t have to be about poor brain performance or mental decline. Don’t delay a very valuable conversation with your doctor.
