Handwriting Changes
Let’s cut to the chase. Handwriting is an excellent measure of changes happening within the body. Parkinson’s disorder is such an example where questionable penmanship qualities could be the poster child of motor skill dis-ease.
Signs of handwriting changes are a marked quality of early Parkinson’s stages. As a Parkinson’s patient continues to write, characters begin to get smaller and smaller in 97% of the cases studied. Word spacing became closer together. Dopamine production slows causing hands and fingers to lose flexibility. Stiffness from the nerve cell’s damage slows down handwriting. Physical dexterity suffers greatly.
Early Parkinson’s signs include additional symptoms. Loss of smell and an increase in intense dreams can occur. Dreams that incorporate violent and physical motions of kicking, punching and thrashing are not unusual. It is important to note if symptoms like these remain longer than 2 weeks, a speedy diagnosis and prognosis is recommended by your neurologist.
