Cornea’s White Ring
If you’ve noticed a milky white ring outlining the iris of your eye, actually located on the cornea, please do not ignore this sign. This milky-white ring is a signal of high cholesterol. Of course, some cholesterol is very good for cell growth. However, over-production of cholesterol can be dangerous, especially if fatty deposits over-accumulate in blood vessels leading to heart attack and stroke.
While the elderly may experience this milky white ring more notably, people of all ages can develop high cholesterol. Regular physical and optic check-ups will keep you on your healthiest toes.
