Tiny Red Lines under Your Fingernails
Today’s colorful manicures have come a long way. But, tiny red lines under your fingernails are not a desirable fashion statement. If nails are displaying tiny red lines without injury, a realistic diagnosis leans toward hemorrhaging or splinter hemorrhages caused by broken blood vessels. These broken blood vessels are caused by small blood clots. This solemn capillary condition is referred to as endocarditis.
Nail injuries can cause bruising and other after effects. Bloodstream pathogens travel and invade heart valves. Early diagnosis offers a better opportunity for faster healing with the use of antibiotics. Immediate treatment is very effective, whereas stalled treatment or no treatment at all can present life-threatening results.
